Furukawa Girls’ High School, founded in 1920, had been a leader in the girls’ education in the northern part of Miyagi Prefecture. From 2005, it was reborn as a coed school and became the first combined junior and senior high school in Miyagi. We’re proud of our long history, traditions and pioneer spirit. Our school mottoes are ‘Aspiration’ ‘Sincerity’ and ‘Diligence’. Under these mottoes, students enjoy their school lives, learning, sports, culture, and various kinds of other activities. All our teachers are doing their best to help the students to improve themselves academically and to build up their human characters. We believe our students will be creative, independent, and be able to live in harmony with others.
