About Furukawa Reimei

Our school dates back to 1920, when it was a progressive girls’ institution in the area. In 2005, it was reborn as a coed school and became the first combined junior and senior high school in Miyagi Prefecture. The new educational system has been very successful. The first graduates after the rebirth have gone on to prestigious universities such as Tokyo University, Tokyo University of Technology, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. However, neither the students nor the faculty are satisfied with this, and we continue striving to improve our school.
